Multi Meter Help (Re Sidelights & Foglights not working)

Hello,

My front sidelights and front fogs lights on both sides don't work. The rear sidelights and rear fog light works fine, along with the other normal lights..

Had a good look around the wiring behind the headlights today to try and figure out why my sidelights and fog lights aren't working but couldn't see anything obvious. I replaced the bulbs but nothing changed.

I was wondering if I buy a Multi Meter whether that would help? And what exactly would I test with it? I am a complete electrical novice!!

Thanks for any help guys, just really worried about my MOT that's due soon and I know it will fail on them not working and I have no clue as to how to fix it!

check to make sure you have got power on the live wire to earth on every bulb holder

I wouldnt bother buying a multimeter if your just using it for that, just buy a simple test light. But make sure it does 12volt!!
Very simple, its basically a screwbriver with a light in and a wire coming off it, just put the clip on it, just earth that onto the battery or the chassis (make sure its not painted) then put the lights on, put the screw drive in the bulb holder and if it lights up you have power...
It sounds a bit more comlicated than that mind, if its all 4 bulbs i'd be suprised.
have a good look in the fuses, if you cant see them, take them all out one at a time and check them!!
