mup.sys problem

My computer won't boot up at all. I can't run in normal, so switch to safe mode and it runs a line of code ending with one ending mup.sys.

I'm just about to flash my bios but does anyone know of a fix for this annoying issue?

Is it a dodgy copy perchance?

It's a b*****d that mup.sys. For some reason on some installs it will error out on mup.sys when you try to run in safe mode. Never have been able to figure out why. When I install XP I sometimes run it in safe mode, before I start installing programs just to make sure it gets past that. Unfortunately, I never found a way to get past it if it's broken.

Have no idea why it sometimes fails on that on some installs. Very nasty bug.

Edit: - The above might work though, let us know how it gets on. Might have to bookmark that!
