MW2 Party chat/friends only privacy settings

By setting up a team of your friends, going into game as a team, you can then only hear your teammates whilst playing the game. Obviously you get everyone else through the menus.

so there are 6 people on the team, 2 of which are my mates who i want to speak to - don't want to hear anyone else. is this possible?

You can do it, it was mentioned in the MW2 thread weeks ago. All I do is mute people, it takes like 5 seconds.

A lot of modes in MW2 don't let you do party chat and force you to switch to game chat and hear everybody, no way round it I don't think apart from muting everyone you don't know.

nope the new MW2 is kinda s**t, hopefully a update soon will solve this

i dont really understand why they have done it like this, if its to make the game 'more fair' there are so many easy ways round it

Goto your profile settings then privacy then just set everything you need to to friends only!
