MW2 Prestige question help!

So I presitiged yesterday and lost all weapons etc, I deceided to use the UMP45 today and got 26 kills, but it has not unlocked the red dot site or anything? In actual fact if i go in to the UMP45 it says I have not done any kills?

Am I doing something wrong here? Do kills not count until a higher rank or something?

iirc when you use the stock ones they have you dont get kills towards your unlocks, you gotta use your own classes...when you unlock em

I am! I have the UMP 45 with Spas set as my class 1 which I tried using in free for all and ground war with no luck!

Working now - must have been a bit of a glitch - what a bummer!

IIRC you don't have the challenges to unlock the attatchments till you reach a certain level.
