Several
As I'm relatively new here, I thought I'd post some pictures of my 172 Cup. I didn't actually have any up until the weekend, but a friend of mine took a few whilst on a track day at Snetterton last Sunday. Some of you might well recognise the registration number, as the previous owner was a member. Can't remember his name mind.
The car is fairly standard. When I bought it, it had Eibach springs, a Ktec exhaust, an induction kit and a rather low front splitter from an Astra, which I promptly broke off on a ramp. I've since swapped back to a standard exhaust and changed the original induction kit for one by "The Fatty", which is a bit neater than the one that was on there. I've also fitted new tyres, track rod ends, injectors and a few other random fixy bits. The car is by no means a minter, it's had a bit of paintwork down one side, the front bumper is a bit damaged, and the wheels are heavily corroded, but I didn't really pay a lot for it, so I can't complain. The car is only a daily/track hack whilst I rebuild my Escort rally car, so buying a mint condition car didn't really make much sense.
Anyway, onto the pictures:
The car was very impressive to be honest, it certainly held its own, especially considering it's just on Continental Sport Contacts. A set of track tyres would have seen it easily matching some of the proper track/race cars. It had the legs on the 750MC MR2s on the straights, so some sticky rubber probably would have seen it match them through the twisties too. Can't really justify going down that road to be honest though, so will continue to enjoy it for what it is. The only essential upgrade is some better brake fluid, as I managed to boil the standard stuff!
The only other plans are to refurb the standard wheels, as they're in an awful state, and perhaps buy an original front splitter for it.
Just for a laugh, I went along with two friends, one in an Alfa 147 2.0, and the other in a Vectra V6 Special, which is basically something that was built specially for the Police, so it looks like a boggo SRI, but has the 2.8 Turbo V6 and brakes from a VXR. Shame it's knackered, but it still went fairly well really.

Enjoy.
