My 172 p0120 problem please help

Hey guys having a very annoying problem with my 172 cup. It's showing the old peddle positioning sensor fault code but the emissions light is on too. Been reading how some other people have fixed it but couldn't find a total answer so what do people think I should do.

It seems to happen when ever I drive it if I've been rolling around in traffic or stopped etc them put my foot down to pull away it just gives up! I don't really want to replace everything if there is just one thing that fecked lol

So please help people I'm a noob in need

Id take it to one of the specialists on here mate if you can then you can get it sorted properly.
