My 182 looking tired and used...

Well it's been a very long time since I posted some pics of my 182, it's been through a lot! It's looking very used, the paint is swirled to death and some polite person keyed my car yet again. The front tyres are shot to bits after a couple of trackdays as you'll see lol. They're getting replaced this weekend along with a good service.

But the good news is, it's still running sweet as a nut after 50,500 miles and now it's got a decent supersprint exhaust on, its fantastic. I've got a couple of drive bys to post later.

I'm going to get it professionally polished at the end of the month I think, try and restore some of its glory on the exterior.

Yep, still awaiting papers from the Police and my visa to come through, frigging long process.

Does the sand and dust take it's toll on the bodywork etc, having never been to Dubai, only seeing it on tv?

Very much so, especially with the sandstorms, makes the paint very, very dull. Plays havoc with the engine bay too, so pretty pleased with how it looks for now.

That's kind of what I thought. Blackgold looks tired at the best of times over here! Looks not too bad, all things considered. Petrol prices would soften the blow for me though, if I was in your shoes. lol

what are the roads in dubai like? are they quite tight on speed limits?

By the look of the front tyres you have been having plenty of fun on the track.

I bet you need to clean the filter quite alot with the sand.

I need to get over there at some point really, my aunties been over there for 13 years and still haven't been over. lol

Lol, happened three times Ali, someone doesn't like me overtaking them I guess? :S


Roads are mega for speed if thats your thing, cruise at 100mph and it sees 120/130 almost everyday.

Tracks are fantastic, they used to do the Formula GP on the track, and they're building a Ferrari specialist track where the F1 is going in 09.
