My 19 16v has gone mad

Hey peeps,

I wander if anyone can help, Today my new (well J reg) 19 has started revving uncontrollably, it wont go below 2500 rpm but generally sits at 4500, i have checked the throttle cable etc but cant figure it out?

Any ideas?

idle control valve stuck open maybe

When I had that problem it was the plug loose on the idle control valve.

think thats ya answer. although sometimes the clip on my accel cable gets caught on the airbox and sticks open. just gotta turn the clip back upside down
