My 36,000 Mile Service

This is coming up in around 1,000 miles.
I was wondering if anyone has a list of what they actually do for this service?
I went down today for this but the parts/service department was closed.

My warranty has expired so is it worth going to the dealer at £250 ?
Ive heard an ECU upgrade is included in the service so would this need to be done by the dealer?

Where else could I get this service done?

What ECU upgrade is this? What year is your car? I have a 2003 1.2 16V. IS the upgrade for this? What does the upgrade do?

I have a 2001 MK 2 PH 2. Not usre what the upgrade actually does! Sure someone will thou.

Myabe fule management etc? Heard it can sort a cutting out problem some have.

AN ecu "upgrade" is NOT included in the service..

However if your vehicle suffers with poor cold start, idle problems etc then there is a Tech solution that is available and includes an ECU reprogram that may cure that problem.. But it may not as there are other probs with the 1.2 engine and other solutions..
