my baby is going in...

...in to the dealers tomorrow to get some small niggles sorted out...just wondering what damage they will do to it when its in! actually thinking of getting the digi camera out in the morning and going round the entire car incase they damage it then allege it was there before like when it was supagarded they must have mistaken the "buff to a shine" for scratch the roof and leave white polish all over the black trim and window seals and explain it with "thats just one of these things mate".

Sos mine, to also get the same niggles they supposedly fixed last time fixed!. Id take some pics just in cas, I think they dented mine with a car door last time but I cant proove it.

what is it your getting done? me its just a loose screw or something behind the dash and the seat belt holder is loose i think as it keeps making noises!

Sunroof rattling, again, and I can feel it moving if I put my hand on it when im going along, clutch pedal was replaced as it squeaked, now squeaks worse and the clutch judders, now something is rattling about in the drivers door when the window is down!

And I thought getting a brand new car would get rid of the rattles and squeaks, how wrong I was!

The best thing to do Aly, is to tell them that you know of someone whose car was damaged whilst being fixed at a different garage, and its not that you dont trust them, but just to be on the safe side and to avoid any problems, get a member of the garage staff to walk round the car with you so that they can check it out too. On returning to collect your car, walk round it again before driving it away, so that it can be checked again.

Better safe than sorry! They will also realise that you want your car looking after carefully. Nearly forgot - put a Post-It note on the speedo with the current mileage on it!!;)

in a similar boat myself - dropped the car off for a service and "repair of problems" 2 hours ago. Its my pride and joy and i realy dont want anything to happen to it. Took down speedo mileage, and also took it in with a virtually empty tank. picking it up today - hope its ok!!!!!! will let you know what they think theyll need to do with the list of 7 problems i want sorted.

well just picked her up and looks okay! smells of lemon inside and they rattle i heard was the cars "computer" which according to dealer was loose.....will check her fully over later but at the mo shes looking good!
