Following on from my sunstrip thread, I thought Id start a new thread with pics of my car, so comments arnt all aimed at the strip.. Decided to keep it I think (for now anyway) - So forget sunstrip comments, hehe!

It all looks well done, but I have to say I really dont get the "bad boy bonnet" thing! Have you actually been naughty? My other half says "if you want headlights like that, get a chuffing Peugeot"

Seriously though, are you actually able to use the car at night? What happens to the beam?

Still, looks smart and the 5 door thing actually works suprisingly well.

The lights are unaffected at night.. No affect as far as I can tell - Even full beam works ok! I did think it would affect it a little, but from using it, I cant see that it has! Travelling down the M42 on Sunday night, and it still lights up the road signs as it did before, to the same brightness as it did!

Dunno why its called Bad Boy bonnet.. maybe because it makes it look mean? I dunno.. Sounds better than "light brows" though. Heh.

I like the rear bumper. Looks good with a smoothed boot as well, or that just done in Photoshop? Makes a change to see a 5 door as well!

I have got a bad boy bonnet as well. It looks wicked. I dont notice that the lights are crap in the dark but every1 else who gets in mine thinks that you cant see feck all since the bad boy.

love the bonnet Daz... thats how im getting the R5 bonnet done when its resprayed. did it cost much to get it added to over the headlights?

i was also thinking of getting 2 boot hydrolic thingies.. cant remember the names..

and angling them 1 at the back.. and one on the right side of the engine bay.. so when u pop the bonnet... the bonnet opens out to the left and at an angle...

Bonnet was done by a mate - 26 hours work at mates rates... still cost a bit though! (Then it had to be sprayed along with the kit!)

I kinda like it without the sunstrip after looking at that pic for a while..

I didnt like them at all, then had the custom one made as a "thing to do".. maybe its time to say bye bye?
