hello. I went out today and on my way home my car started spluttering and poping so i pulled over.
i got out the car and got my mate to rev the car while i checked thew color of the exhaust smoke. it was black but then there was a ticking sound from the engine so i turned it off quick. thinking my timing may have slipped and only being 1 min from home i poped the cam plugs off to see if the cams had slipped witch they had not so i drove it home. lost a little oil doing this with the plugs out but i was only around the corner. the car seem to get worse when its warm. i have done a fault code check and im coming back with p0420 witch is the lamba but my car is decatted and this has been on a while. i have one thats na i think thats the air bags as this does not show on normal readers and i have a racing wheel. and i then noticed p0443 this is the carbon canister. now i have removed the carbon canister but this would explain the clicking noise. now im not sure if this is the problem so im just after somebody spreading some light on this. my canister has been removed over a year with no probs. the tapping is not there anymore
