my clio 172 cup is idling at 2000 rpm

i have just bought a map sensor for my 172 as it was faulting. and was idling rough. i have fitted it and now my car seems to idle at 2000rpm but if you leave it around 10 secounds it will settle down but is still idling high. anybody help me out on this. cheers

Check the seal on the sensor you just fitted may be cracked or not fitted properly letting more air in hence the high idle. Check all other hose connections on the inlet also.

and sometimes you need to switch the ignition on and off not starting it about 15 times to reset the new sensor
