one thing you will need to consider is some components to stop you blowing fuses and the PSU on the pc is some crank chips which power the pc while cranking your car so you dont get windows restarting, some car pcs have these built in.

this is a car pc ITX . M10000 ATX power 12 V mother board just made it my self mother board is 4inch by 5inchs

got the same as a £600 ready made car pc but only cost me £120 to make

think thats it lil bit of info the m10000 mother board has tv out in RCA (phono) and Svideo and also VGA, only have a 6gb hard drive as its all i had around and its off a laptop so it fits in the lil case. getting a external 500Gb harddrive

well you dont need the BEST EVER sound car if its running to ur H/U then amp'd to components/subs/ but then again u dont want a really s**t one. you just want one that has good sound im using the on board sound and it sounds fine

^^^^ DOOOOOOOO IT :-D i have just round software that i can run on that pc that looks for wireless network connects all the time when the pc is on and when it finds one that it can connect to and get into it beeps :-D :-d its called (WAR driving)

reason i brought a m10000 motherboard is cus its smaller then a lap top mother board and runs on 12V

I'll figure something out. All i need to do is get the correct current and voltage going into the laptop converted from the car supply. Easy.

Yer mine is a mini-itx mother board. ( I nearly melted it the other week )

Forgot to put a regulator in the Live feed for the Pc, As when the engine is on it was sending 14 - 15 Volts into the board

You dont need it for the sound quality, you need it for the connection quality.
My friends got a cheap sound card and when ever he moves the mouse pointer it makes weird noises though the speakers (interferance of some kind).

Put a better quality card in it and it now works fine.

It has wifi built in, but might do that thing you suggested earlier and add a pcmcia wireless card and antenna.
