My Crank is FUBAR!

bit gutted today........

some of you may know that im currently having a lengthy rebuild.

Managed to get the crank out, and that went off last weekend to be reground due to scaring from one of the shells going...

Just been told that the crank has "bowed" - which makes me think, holy crap how hot was the bloody oil!

anyway, i need a brank spanking new williams crank....

the guy that was going to regrind it, has found me a new one for £320 + VAT... then £60 plus vat for shells on top....

That seems quite expensive its only a 1.9 diesel crank. Is it not possible to get one cheaper from a breakers yard.

Youve not been to lucky though with the engine. Things can only get better I suppose.

i have a crank out of a f7p if thats any good to you mate? it is from my siezed engine though but you can have it for f**k all if you come and remove it (the block is just sat on the drive with no sump on already)

oooer......you might want to check mains alignment if the crank bowed.
