So picked her brand new April 2003 for my 26th Birthday. My first new car.
As it was 2003 I took off the nice speed lines and ruined the handling by adding 17s and apex springs.
The cars first track outing at Silverstone
They came off and i added H&R coilovers set up by Mark Fish.
It was a fair bit better!
Single wiper however was useless. Prospeed exhaust also added.
In 2006 it was hit by a lorry and i gained a new toy.
I sold it to my good mate Day from here who owned it for a further 4 years. He remaped it, added racelands afters the H&Rs gave up, braided lines, and a ktec stealth exhaust.
Here she is at a tricky track in Germany.
and it got hit again.
I however got an r26
The cup is the only car i've ever owned (and i've had lots) I've missed so a few months ago i brought it back.
Its still in pretty good shape and Day has looked after it well.
I got it back and noticed the rad had gone so out came the spanners and axle stands. New high flow alloy rad and seats fitted.
so its now on a 115k, and the only problems its had are pas pump leak and needed new wishbones. Its even still on the original clutch!
I've a small shopping list for it tho. Better coilovers, B14s or kw v2, White line arb and yet another carbon splitter.
The engine is a little tappy too so have to find out why.
Im really happy with it at the mo and its much cheeper to own than the r26. I think its also more fun.
