The 172 cup is a great looking car. The whole package is spot on and it was a bargain new buy which is proved by how many people saw past the lack of fancy seats and air-con and bought into the lightweight fun car ethos. Future classic for sure, don't let any standard parts get lost.

indeed. I actually bought one brand new back in 2002, paid £10500 and sold by s2 escort rs turbo for one. shame the escort would now be worth more than I paid for the cup. lol.@Kev@KAM has 25% off bilstein iirc. ??

Just a shame they kept those wanky headlights and didn't put the xenons in.
Driving the way the Cup does, and for a brand new price of £10,713 (what mine cost in 2003) I'd have been happy with candles in jam jars tbqfh.
If Xenons are that important to you then you go buy a normal 172.
Love it! Don't ever change those period correct wing indicators for clear ones!

You can always modify it mate & then keep the original parts like i have. Then you can easily put it back to standard if need be.
I changed my headlights to black xenons, they just look better.
I recently put Team Dynmaics Pro 1.2 on mine but also kept the turinis as i love both.
I was just gonna say bin the orange repeters but actually i think your right!Love it! Don't ever change those period correct wing indicators for clear ones!
I drove a s2 rs turbo a few weeks ago I i can reveal its awful! Did a 2 laps of dunsfold was was happy to get it back in the pits.indeed. The cup was always a car I remembered with great memories hence why I wanted another one all these years later and it didn't disappoint.
