My current laptop

  Fiesta ST-3
I'm currently using a Toshiba Satellite laptop but its s**t for pretty much everything but searching the net and remedial tasks.

I've always been one for gaming etc and was wondering if your able to upgrade parts of your laptop. For example a bigger hard drive, better graphics card. Its fairly new and I'm wanting to use it to process pictures I take, gaming and remedial tasks.

What do I need to do to upgrade and is it expensive/hard to do?

Best bet is to get a new one. Upgrading laptops isn't worth the hassle.

That's the problem its not even 6 months old and cost about £400. Perhaps if I forgot about gaming, what would I need to replace to improve its memory etc?

Buy some more ram, 4GB is plenty

Buy an SSD hard drive.

Strap yourself in and hold on;)

It's usually a case of undo a couple of screws, lift a flap (not that kind you pervs) and swap sticks, dead easy really, the hard drive is usually screwed down into a caddy with a small connector block shoved on the end of it.

Some lappies are a reet b*****d to open to swap stuff, some are a doddle.

Tend to agree with brazo but tbh an SSD will cost an arm and a leg, I paid £400 for a 256Gb one and tbh I wouldn't bother spending that on an upgrade to a £400 lappy, starting again would be the only reasonable route really.
