Yum Yum - went to York 2 see my parents this weekend and look what I borrowed off my dad hehehe. Plus can you name the car in the foreground.

Whoever said that 300ZXs were sh!t YOU OBVIOUSLY KNOW NOTHING. After spending a weekend driving this car I can safely say that it is mint. Some of the looks I was getting were priceless.

Took some pics of my GT too with my new camera.

i love the looks and performance of ZXs tho dangerous im told in the wet! having said that what RWD car isnt?! Maintenance cost always worried me with those cars, there getting on a bit now too. Is that the twin turbo version MITSI? id sooner pick one of those then a supra!

its a lovely looking car... not seen one in that condition for a long time (if ever) how many miles has it done?

Its the twin turbo version good job it wasnt wet this weekend.

My dad lives on Foxwood Lane but the car only comes out when its sunny. Got it imported from Japan a year or so ago, paid about £13000 for it. According to the speedo its done 20000 kilometres!!!!

Dash - the car is indeed a Triumph 2000, hes just had it resprayed and hes getting the leather retrimmed. Had fun fitting the chrome bumpers on monday!

imported

has he had the under seal protected then? or is that the reason for only taking it out in nice weather... ie cuz the salt and sh*t from the roads will rust it to bits.

any ideas what it would cost to convert back to uk spec?

Yeah thats why he doesnt drive it in the wet. Not sure what it would cost - hes gonna keep it standard as it will hold its value better.

Hes also got a laguna V6 as a run around lol

Ive seen a blue one down south once but other than that never seen another. As for the colour - it looks brown in some lights, but its not - kind of a deep purple. Ill upload some more pics later so we can droooool.

the 300zx softop was only sold in the states and in Japan; i don;t think it was ever available in Europe - Im surprised its a twin turbo, as i thought the softops were all normally aspirated? The do look great though - its a really nice (and rare) car.

I was told that they didnt make the convertible with the twin turbo engine, but theres a couple of big blowers in the engine bay. Perhaps its had the engine from a twin turbs?

yes, i guess thats possible. I just seem to remember at the time of launch (92/93?) that nissan sort of alluded to thefact that the chassis of the soft top was not best suited to the turbo engine (i guess they were gently suggesting it flexes with the turbo power?). Maybe later in its life they changed their mind?

Ive looked at a few sites and theres no indication of a factory Twin Turbo convertible so yours must be a conversion of some sort. Have you checked the engine to bay for any HKS symbols etc ;) My mate has a RA Scooby which was advertised as standard but had f**k loads done to it when he got it!
