Ok, here is the situation:
182 insured for 12000 miles a year with NCB protection and fully comp.
23 yrs old, but i have 7 yrs NCB and i am 24 on the day of renewal.
i have a SP30 that has given me 3 points in nov 05.
Every quote i asked for NCB protection. These are the quotes in order i got them today.
The starting line was my renewal:
adrian flux
£605 550 excess
From there i have rung a number of companies and these are as follows...

£728 250 excess
£620 750 excess
sainsburys 08700 765450
No quote, i was too much of a risk!!! Although Sarah was a delight to talk to on the other end.
highly recommend her.

£1081.50 400 excess
interestingly they wanted to know about factory fit suspension alterations.

No quote, have to be 25 yrs plus sir...
Royal Sun Alliance 0800 300220
Declined to quote. I thought i was talking to a robot, the bloke was a complete tool.

Bell put me thorugh to a company called Call Connection who are a company that find insurnace companies who will quote for your particular requirements....
The lovely Lisa put me through to several comapnies, they are a sfollows:

thames city had a very quick person answering the calls and did my head right in.
Allan & Allan 0800 458 5730
£675 300 excess (not bad... considering my other quotes!!)
Universal/Sky insurance
pretty awful to be honest. didn't even give me a figure. they said it would be double my renewal!

That was the last number form call connections. not great to be honest. but its worth a go.

So the last company i rung is the best so far! I will be ringing Adrian Flux to see if they can beat the Asbourne insurance offer, then go form there.
Anyone recommend anyone else for me?
I had a massive headache after riniging all these companies! took all afternoon! :dead:
