My first Customer - 172 Cup

Today my first customer for my machine polishing services came round :)

Quade's 172 Cup looks mint, so we gave it the DA treatment to look even better!

We started at around 9:30, and finished everything just after 6pm! I am knackered lol!

I havent got as many before shots as I'd have liked, but I think the final results pics speak for them selves!

Here's what we did:

First washed the car:

Then we dried it ready for claying. The car wasn't that contaminated, the clay bar didnt get very dirty at all (well not as much as when I did mine, the clay was nearly black at the end!)

Then I taped it up ready for machine polishing :)

The condition of the paint was pretty good mostly, with just your general light swirl marks. There was the occasionally deeper scratch that I struggled to remove completely, but there were all made significantly less noticeable!

I was using a G220, with menz pads and either menz intensive polish, and occasionally used power gloss for the deeper scratches :)

Random after shot :)

One of the most noticeable improvements. This area of scratches by the rear wheel arches was almost completely removed.

That's it Im afraid for the before shots, now just the final results!

It's almost mirror finish! So you even make out my burnt head from being at Mallory Park all day yesterday!

Excellent results there, the rewards of detailing! Quade's car has gotta be one of the best cup's on the site aswell though

Looked like a lot of work when I popped in earlier. Results are stunning but far too anal for me. Id have to leave it with you mate. That 5 hours we spent just cleaning mine was bad enough.

A man with taste, It is a very, very nice car.

Nice work! Mondial blue is such a nice colour when detailed :)

How did you find the menz pads? Just ordered a few myself. I'm really tempted with that EZ brush too, but not sure if I can justify £16 for a brush lol

Yeh the menz pads are good, I was using the orange pad. I might invest in the white cutting pad at some point :)

The EZ brush is good though! Much easier to use than a sponge, especially if you have thin spoked alloys!

I used an old mitt wrapped around a hoover attachment to do the wheel backs before PPC lol  I did have one of those vikan brushes which was good until I used it to scrub off some cv boot grease!

Think I just went for the yellow (finishing?) pad, supposed to work well with PO85RD.

Anyway I'll stop spamming! :p
