My first day as a Mk3 172 owner

Hi everyone,

Just had my first day as the owner of a Mk 3 Clio 172 owner. The car is a '53 plate with 34k on the clock. I drove a hard deal with the garage, but got to take it away for £7895. The car was serviced, given 12 months mot and had the aux belt changed. They've also promised to professionally respray a few little dings in the bonnet next weekend.

I'm so happy with the car - it's fantastic and is probably the most fun I've ever had in 10 years of driving. Best of all, my insurance was less than £400 as well, thanks to shopping around and a hard working insurance broker in Bath (A-Plan Insurance...)

I'm now off to drive it up the M5 and M6 for a weekend in Liverpool. Wahoo. I'll post some pictures once I've worked out how to.

Not bad - there seems to be the odd bargain floating about in stealers at the moment - I picked up my '54 182 with 9000 miles on for just over 9500 crisp ones, with 6 months tax... Can't be too bad as they gave me a great trade in as well!

welcome got my 02 172ff with 35k on the clock for 6200 but had to then pay for tax 4 tyres, cambelt, and 4 discs and pads

Yeah- forgot to mention that the cost also included a year's tax. All in all, I've been most happy with the deal I got.

Still loving the car, motorway driving has never been so much fun.

mate of mine just picked up a 05 182 with 15k on for 8 grand, and it was from a renault dealer too!!!

it is mint aswell!
