Bought these, absolutely f**king filthy but you can clean anything right? Right?!

Apparently quite rare, they made a special edition called a FR550 with these seats, the supercopa body kit and xenons I think. And they made 550 of them so not common.

Just the same as cupra seats but with the correct FR fabric.
Bought a heated seat kit too so will need to figure out how to take them apart.

Very nice and should clean up well, rare as well as you say. I’m sure the FR550 was just a FR bodykit, with these seats and badges. Oh and different 18” alloy wheels.
Car looks well and loving the thread on it.

They gave the FR550 some nice bits, the main drawback was basing it on the pre-facelift car.

It got the properly nasty dash and centre console as well as the s**t diesel engine.

You know when you start something and think "this will never go back together just as good as it was"?

Yeah...

Only doing 1 at a time, planning on putting some stain remover on the covers and putting them in a 40 degree wash when the wife is out. Decent idea or will it f**k them?

Bang em on a 20 or 30 wash

Might be a bit tight but you should get em back on. Did them with my aunties corsa seats when she spilt 6 pints of milk all over the seat and left it for 2 months

Good shout.

Urgh gawd 🤮 that'll have smelt worse than death
Honestly mate, me and my dad both gipped when we opened the door

She said she just left the window slightly open all the time so it didn't get foisty 🤢 Inside the car smelt like someone covered themselves in s**t, died and then rotted away, proper gross. Even the foam was fucked

Sod that lark.

Cover them in anti-bac interior cleaner and wet-vac them dry after a decent scrub !

Cheaper to buy a wet vac than buy more seats. Probably :ROFLMAO:

Started working in a covid ward start of last week which has meant by usual 90 miles a day has gone to 130. And no time for anything else. I'm not sure the car counts as yellow anymore 😂

So gave it a whores bath and just cleaned the bits that let me see/be seen.

Had to take the day off whilst I wait on a test result so made the most of it between phone calls and emails.
As said above ive been doing stupid miles and hours recently so think this is the first wash in a couple of months and a good few thousand miles.

It needed it for sure. Turns out it's yellow.

Then it started to batter down with rain so I didn't get a finished pic or swap the wheels to the new ones but it's better than it was.

Do you know if yours has had the clutch done previously?
Just had to have mine changed, very similar miles to you and it was the original item. Needed DMF and slave cylinder (which is inside the gearbox) doing as well.

I took a gamble and bought it with zero history.
Im gonna guess it's not though, it's the main reason I haven't had it mapped yet.
How much did that cost?

I did exactly the same, I'm on near enough the same miles and it was still on the original clutch.
Actually drove perfectly fine still, only got done because the slave cylinder failed, clutch was near enough down to the rivets.

Mine was mapped when I bought it as well, bought it from a "dealer" in Leeds.

Clutch kit, DMF and slave cylinder was £700 fitted. Not cheap, but considering the miles I was impressed.

Clutch kit, DMF and slave for my Megane was £520 for parts alone and that's dirt cheap as I know a man😂

If I didnt know him it would have been £950+😭 Add on top the rear main seal at £35 and clutch cover bolts at £3 each😂 Makes you feel sick when its just a diesel smoker doesn't it @R3k1355

And up for sale it goes 😂😂

I need to do the belts too really. I'm trying to just run it with routine maintenance but I'll regret that when I'm at the side of the motorway at night.

It's painful, but it does the job I want it for so it's just running costs at the end of the day.

I literally just did the belts, waterpump, thermostat and tensioner two weeks ago.

My wallet is smoking right now the cash I've lashed out on the thing :eek::eek:

CEGA engine

It didn't come with a scrap of history, so I figured an invoice from a specialist with all genuine parts for the belt job was a good idea.
I've got very little incentive to faff around with this car, I just want it on the road and working, reliably.

Ah sound so its a round port head instead of a square port

Few of my mates used to work at Darkside so VAG fag knowledge passes across😂😂

Thats where it got done, be silly not to really.

I'm in 2 minds about the belt. Or 3 really.
Gamble
Do it myself
Pay a man.

clutch etc can wait until it's a problem.

I assume it needs locking tools and such, which eats into most of the savings doing it yourself.
Just comes down to how many miles you wanna put on the thing,
