Renewal time is 10th of October so guna keep track of my gd quotes on here


Renault Clio 1.8 rsi 1995 with alloys, lowering, tinting, zorst

thats on 20 yr old, 2.5 yrs driving, 2 crashes in 2002, 1 at fault for!

first time i said i had lowering, alloys and tint film, they said they wouldnt insure me cos of tint film

so rang back and said it was the glass :-( and also lowering and alloys

I added my dad as an extra driver on the policy and then afterwards added my mums m8 whos female, the female with full no claims only brought it down another £15 :-(

total price was £810 for 12 months cover, £150 excess i think so thats quite gd!


will try adrian flux 2nite, and try 2 get hold of my current insurers hic once again, there a nightmare 2 get through 2

OK this is my update:

used confused.com first of all, only gave me 1 quote LOL

Admiral (off confused.com) £780
AdrianFlux £770 without added older ppl
Churchill , Privilege = dont accept mods

HillHouseHammond - bought out by norwich union
norwich union - got 2 be over 21 on that car
Liv Vic, got 2 b over 21 on car

CIS - £1200
Performance Direct - £923
Elephant £810

Quote a car £900


Thats all so far, HIC wouldnt give me renewal yet as its over 2 weeks away, also told me renewal is 27/10 not 10/10 oops lol

So flux is best so far and they seemed gd with mods and will be able 2 get that down adding a female or 2 to the policy so bout 750ish probly


interesting thing was, flux told me added my dad would put it up because hes counted as a labourer, so hes now guna be an administrator lol

Only one quote from confused Dave......................thats a shock cause Im only 20 and I got 7 quotes for the V6.

yea 1 quote lol, most didnt wana know cos it was modded, mention alloys and loads of comps just couldnt do it, others were cos of my age on the car and some werent available

got a while 2 sort things out but HIC have got there work cut out 2 beat 750

if they cant then im guna have 2 have fun with flux and admiral chopping and changing ppl about, adding women/my dad and stuff and seeing how much i can knock off, they dont even need 2 b family members which is funny, im adding my mums friend 2 the policy probably lol

then ill prob find another of her m8s aswel with full no claims and c if that will help!! at moment i rekon itll b flux that gets me as admiral are not as mod friendly

Dave starting at £770 theres at least a £50 saving there no problem just hagle and when you get them down as low as they say they will go knock another £20 off and suggest that and say youd do it there and then yeah.

ok just got elephant down to £743 online

I had a little play, left off that windows r tinted though as they wont insure me with them,

I added anotehr female driver on, so my dad, and 2 women, all full no claims

quote didnt change at all

Took every1 off and then added 1 female, so only me and 1 female, quote came down to £743 so my dad doesnt really help!

Wonder if i can push it down to £700 somewhere


UPDATE £719 now, thats with elephant, adding exhaust 2 mods didnt make a diff, so declaring alloys,lowering,zorst

£719 with myself and 2 females on policy

had another lil play with elephant

2 females added on policy 719, with 3 its the same

its 719 with lowering, alloys, zorst

without any mods it would be £619

also, changing the value of the car from £900 to £1500 made no diff on price, so will prob put it up to about 2k just incase it gets stolen or crashed in2

ok then, all same details in2 admiral website and its come to £678 for 12 months

at moment thats my lowest quote, will prob leave things till closer the time now and then c what hic can offer, then c if flux can get under 700

if not ill just try 2 knock admiral down a little bit more, will have 2 tell them hic have offered me a better quote of say 650 but if they can match it on phone ill take it out straight away with them!!

grrr gota find another woman now, my mums m8 has pulled out of letting me name her on policy

she got scared and rekons its illegal, errr no just means u can drive my car if needs be, and she said it would put the quote up, errr no i have a quote prooving it goes down

she also rekons she spoke 2her boss who has partner in insurance and they said its not allowed and will also put policy up, what a bunch of c*nts

so will just find sum1 else, shouldnt b 2 hard
