Boy and girls, this is how your car should sound...

With mates like these can you understand why I'm bored of a Honda Civic??

Yeah, he's a fellow redneck... He's planning on painting it satin black and driving it this summer, then taking it back off the road again to twin-turbo it. He does everything himself, clever guy.

As I said to Dave Dreads, I'll get some with my DSLR when it's on the road. It looks a bit sorry for itself at the moment.

Bravo that man.

EDIT: 14k would get me my Smartuki Roadster-Coupe.

Didn't ford make a v8 sierra? It was the xr8 I think maybe in south Africa? Can't remember for sure and can't be arse to search the net to check.

Cool! Using the xr8 as a guide or from scratch?

I love the sound of a v8 but I also really miss the sound of a b16 being wrung round a track with me being the one poking it into the happy zone!

Vtec is quite addictive, although it's nothing compared to a loud V8 IMO. This has been built from scratch I believe.

Nice! I'm happy either way both are acceptable ways to go quickly with great noises as far as I'm concerned. Bet the noise catches people off guard :)

Used to have a 7.0l ac cobra replica in the car club I do sprints with I can imagine the chest rattling volume! Was always worth a trip to the start line to hear it launch and catapult up the first straight! Similarly a vtec lump with a good exhaust used to make all the right noises down the back straight. You can't beat a good engine sound for putting a smile on your face.

Latest Yamaha R1 with the crossplane crank type thing is another great noise.

Indeed, I quite like the sound of a nice straight-six too!

Standing up on the bank above camp corner at combe and hearing an e46 m3 giving it the beans was a noise definitely worth hearing. May have been a csl it was indecently quick! Back on topic is the sierra now a really quick car or is it purely for noise and effortless torque?

I think it's running approximately 230bhp, but with it being a V8 and very light it goes quite well. I'll be interested to see how it compares to my Type-R.
