He only paid £600.00 for them without tyres. Pics look poo. Went to a VW meeting and attracted more attention than most the dubs. lol

I think it depends what they're going on. If it's something posh/decent then I'd save up for the real thing, otherwise fook it and get good copies!

Nowhere near as well made or strong though.

The ones Ken Block uses survive well.

Mine survived getting smashed into a bus.

Most photo's of broken rotas come from cars hitting a kerb. t**t any wheel into a kerb hard enough and it'll break.

They are decent wheels..When my rages decide to shed themselves of laquer i may invest in a set for the type r...

  Turbos.
It is the principle of the thing. They are ripping off designs. It means the genuine companies don't make money, which stops them coming up with cool ass designs. Eventually, everyone suffers.

Of course i'm a hypocrite, as i have Rotas on my Elise LOL. To be fair though, they are what people in the LoT series use as they are made in a specific size. Yeah, a shitty defence...

+1 on that but each to their own etc.

Btw, I thought getting tail happy on trackdays was not allowed (which I found out) or does he behave on trackdays?

Looks great! Other than a few internet g33ks (;)), who cares if wheels the wheels aren't genuine? The guy's driving a sub 1k beemer; he's hardly going to spend double that on some whimzzz.

It's ok if it's damp (the tyre noise on dry days trips the H&S jobsworths), and you're not being silly.

There was an M5 I was behind at Bedford, spent every corner sideways. But controlled.

This!

As much as I agree with Englebert, i'm not too fussed about spending over a £1000 pounds on a set of wheels so that companies research and development for new designs of wheels. Function over fashion and all that...

i would of got bbs copies myself. and is that rumour still going around about rota wheels being cheap and heavy. i saw a test where they x rayed and weighed hundreds of makes of wheels in different batches and rota where 1 of the top performers on the imperfection test with x rays.
