I sold my Saab last October as I wanted to save a bit on running costs. As I've been doing quite a lot of work on my house I wanted something cheap that I could use for going to the tip in. I started off with a budget of about a grand. I looked at the usual 1.6 Astra's/Focus's etc until I came across this a couple of miles from my house. Good history and in decent condition, it was slightly over budget but I thought it was worth a risk.
So this is how it has spent most weekends....
I’ve had all the wheels refurbed and she scrubs up fairly well for an old girl.
I’ve covered 7000 miles in it without any real issues, it is a bit dull to drive but it's comfortable and returns 35mpg without really trying. I’m glad I went for it over a Focus/Astra.
