i cant fit a aftermarket air filter panel because they haven't made on for it yet!! the front bumper is diff too...

I recognised the locations and the plate begins with 'HG', theres a few of us round here.

i went to k tec yetserday, as they're just up the road from me, and the could only suggest an induction kit with relocation kit, dont really fancy that, its only 1.2!!-

LOL @ the 10minute bumps. Thats definatly the later 1.2 16v and according to the KTEC site the green cotton panels only go up to the 2004 change over. Best off pming Michael172 as his is an 05 plate and he's definatly running a panel filter.

You can get IK's for them yeah, but the std air filter can be replaced with the MK3 air filter, its the big long rectangle one, i have the same car as you. Looks like a smart example, keep it that way. Ill be getting one eventually. Go down and ask them for one, and see if it fits.

Not got mine yet But i bought the green cotton for the mk2 ph2 thinking itd fit. Of couse i was wrong, the 04> 1.2 16v's have the same engine as the MK3, its a big long rectangular filter.

Green filter is the old engine, orange is the new.

Unscrew the jubilee clip, and undoo the breather pipe. Pull the box off it just pulls off, undoo the torx screws and you get the idea........

Thats actually the car's airbox, for some reason the air comes into the air box, and has 2 ways into the manifold through the airbox, one is filtered and the other is not. Dont ask me why.

The Ph2s did too, thats what cut through the loom to cause all sort of problems. They just altered it with the Ph3 to the same setup as all the others to eliminate the problem.

used to have that problem with my old rat. used to missfire all the time, till i decided to tape up the wiring loom. Then it stopped.
