Gf & I were quite bored yesterday afternoon, so we decided to go for a random drive into Wales (I also wanted to play with my new Lumix FX18 lol). Just as we got to Snowdon National Park area the heavens opened... and didn't stop. Absolutely pissing it down all day and very heavy hailstones to add. Very very difficult to take decent pics in, as it was either blowing me to buggery, or raining directly onto the lens.
Few pics from along this one road. Some very fast swooping bends on it, some nice long straights... a very good road indeed. Loads of waterfalls, bridges, gates, ffords etc etc to look at... BTW... not one single car drove on this road for the entite time we were on it (about a 40min drive).... so for that, i'm not telling you lot where it is lol.
↓ pretty much the start of it. At this point i was getting blown off my feet with the wind ↓
↓ my cup was getting all excited, and wanting to play ↓
↓ one of the waterfalls along the way. Tried playing with shutter speed, but it was so cold i couldnt keep the camera steady, oh and the wind didnt help ↓
↓ this is a small section of the road... it's awesome. In all goes on for 28miles ↓
↓ it takes you up to the peaks of the National Park, where it read 1C, and the wnd was nuts lol ↓
↓ where there was also some more waterfalls. Love it ↓
↓ a small burn at the top of the peaks. Was so quiet at this point, you could hear every drop of water move. ↓
↓ looking back on the road just travelled↓
↓ some parts off the road were quite muddy/marsh... you couldnt pull onto any verge as you'd never get off. ↓
↓ the noise from these falls was amazing. You could hear nothing else, and the speed the water was flowing was nuts. ↓
↓ i had to take these at ISO2400 as it was now 6pm, and very dark indeed... so a lot of noise on these pics. Still good in my opinion ↓
↓ this is my cup very happy... can you tell? ↓
All in all, i took about 80pics lol, but don't want to bore you all too much. What do you think?
