My new golf vr6

Mine used to average 23-27mpg.but i imagine once its in a lighter car it will be better...

True...^^^ there quite restricted.Mine had a nice K+N filter and a full scorpion exhaust and made 196bhp on the rollers...

Its the same engine they put in the V5 GAZ but they lost a cylinder due to emissions...

I f**king loved this car.Bought it from an enthusiast on the VR6 forums...so everything was spot on...

The highline model i had also came with the same colour leather.They were only made with the same colour leather in black and mullbery........

I had a highline 4-5 years ago, low miler in mint condition. Really regret selling it even though it drank juice. <3 the noise!
Had a miltek, decat and carbonio induction kit. Think it made about 196hp on the rollers too.

I'm trying to find a pic' of when I first picked it up, it was so dull with non highline VR6 wheels - looked rough if I'm honest.

Just needed a SC and more lows to finish it off but like an idiot I sold it and bought a pulsar :(

Sorry for the small hijack there OP. Good luck with the conversion and save for an SC, they make good power on the VR engine ;)

Went to see the vr on the ramps at the garage the other day. The lad there asked me if it had come from the sea side and then went on to show me about ten separate areas on the floor pan where plates had been welded in due to rot.

What a classic!
