Ali

  V6, Trackhawk, GTS
no ali couldnt afford to insure a 205 and my clio at the same time, well not so much coulnt afford but refused to pay that much,as you can only use no claims on one car.

but can afford this as its my only car.

if i'd had a 172 at 19, i wouldn't be sat here writing this now!

by the age of 19 i'd written off 4 cars (engines and crash-wise!) and been banned once!

yup sold the 1.2

tis a great feeling i just have to keep reminding myself to be sensible, ive already written off one car lol

I like the wheels, but proper willy ones would be spot on.

I don't have a 172, if you're referring to my wifes car, then thats not sold because i haven't advertised it yet other than this forum.
So stick that up your ass.

regardless - i don't think bragging about writing off cars will help with the sale, i doubt there would be anyone who would disagree with that.

stick to topic.

wheels ahve actually really growing on me :)

i discovered today that it does have the ali bonnet, wasnt sure if it did. and was told it didnt have a shift light and it does, so well chuffed :D

  AMV8, Mk1 Golf
he he :p

fred did you notice the exhaust was blowing when you did the work?

i cant work out if its just the tone or its really blowing,
hopefully de-cat should be here 2 moro so will have alook then

  Lionel Richie
yeah exhaust was blowing, we weren't asked to fix it, and its not our product, so we left it alone (also from previous experience with that exhaust)

it looks like its blowing from the cat/centre section, but as i said, we didn't touch it

  Cooper S JCW
Yeah - I did mention it to Jon that it needs moving more onto the centre section but then it will affect the look of the back-box. I got fed up of trying to find a happy medium with the Ktec.

I didn't know it had a shift light either - just shows that I never pushed it!!!

lol yeah i was saying it was a good thing to jon,
i hit the limiter in 1st by accident and noticed it, was well chuffed.

yeah i thought it was coming from the cat area thats why i havnt investigated untill i get my decat , hoping that will cure it :)

well I think once the decat arrives then we'll be able to mess around with it and see, but I think first port of call is to get the backbox fitting into the bumper, so get that cut to fit and it should make life easier... and in the words of Fred, it needs to go lower, I think it would compliment the alloys more

  Cooper S JCW
These wheels are a lower offset than standard which give better handling but limit the amount of lowering. If you go to a higher offset then you can go lower but it will narrow the track of the car - pros and cons for both!

I had considered cutting out the bumper too!

nigh on impossible to fit it into the bumper mate

  Mk2 Ph1 1.2
Looks mental...i love the ph1 172's... if only i could afford insurance for one...
give it a year or so and then i think i will get one...

...nice example

aww your joking!? is that because of the way it follows the std exhaust path I'm assuming it means the back box has been angled to sit under the bumper? Trip to Cardiff may be in order, I want a new zorst for mine... a quieter one of all things... lol

bit pants that... ah well, it's upto Laura, I think they do look a lot better when they sit in the bumper though...

I reckon it will Laura. Easy way to check anyway, cold morning, foot over the tailpipe and see where the smoke comes from.
