My new toys...

Just got one of these through the post today :D Can't wait to test it tommorow (as I dont have the power connecter for it atm)
Just need to do some more tweaking with the cpu to see if I can get it faster as I managed to buy the "wrong type" of ram lol. I also got a Road Angel compact today so hopefully will be able to put it in my car tommorow and fiddle with that :)

DFI nf4 ultra d. Ive upp'd the voltages so it seems stable - havent tried prime yet - doing that tommorow. I am running a ram divider - some dude on the overclockers forums are giving me alot of useful advice. Im gonna aim for 2.8 realisticly, but 3ghz stable is my ultimate goal but I dont expect that stable tho if at all.

What stepping code is the cpu?

Mines CABNE0540 and I've settled at 290HTT(on air), stable now for 2 months on 24/7.

Mines a Cacjye - cant remember the exact week tho but been told its a pretty good one. Im stuck at 2.7ghz atm. Getting an error after 55 secs on the OCCT stability test. Im still at 1t on the memory and slackend the memory to 3-3-3-7 but getting no where now :/ which option do you use in the bios to set it to 2t, on a divider??

Without rebooting (which I don't want to do right now) to look I can remember it's an "enable/disable" option with no referance to 1t/2T. Took me a while to find it.

This site is an absolute must and you'll find the option on here somewhere - http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/

Just a small update - Ive changed the memory divider down, put voltage up but still getting a fail in the OCCT test. i have also noticed that some of the memory display is not showing in cpu-z - is this a big problem??

TBH 1T/2T made no differance for me.

In all honesty the Opty's aren't as clockable as they were in the early stepping codes so it could simply be that the cpu's reached it's limit.

Try asking on DFI-Street and see what people with the same stepping code can acheive. If the results are similar to yours then you have your answer.
