My next car, v6 clio??

  Cupra 300 ST 4drive
Hard decision that, if i had to choose between the two ,if its a daily driver the MKII V6 all day, it will always be a classic for Renault but not iconic like the cosworth, if its a second car to pamper and garage the Escort, proper cosworths are still commanding 18k upwards easily, my fav of all of the models is the phase 1 big turbo (T3 garrett and rectangle mirrors) Monte Carlo edition in purple with its O.Z rally wheels , this is the only photo i could find

But a couple of my desired classics are the very last BMW E34 M5 6speed my ex father in law had one, what a monster, and the last model E30 EVO M3s

I set up the business instead. Infact, looking at the date of the thread, it was not long after!

Not a bad choice, now you've got 50 sheds, instead of just one over polished plastic one ;)

Indeed. On the plus side, I no longer work for a bunch of two faced, ungrateful arrogant cu.nts!

  Clio 182 + Recaros
Liking the car choices, I've always lusted after a cossie, I think both are classic cars. From the other posts I've read - pointing out that the Escort is a twenty year old car - so rightly think its not as suited to being an every day drive where as the v6 would be.

Good luck with choosing your next car.

The V6 will get looks from every1 as they are quite rare.
Cossie just looks like a chav mobile and its been said before its only gonna be people who know the car
well that will look at it.
A v6 will have everybody looking. and also u just know girls love it! much more then some old junk car to them!

after this weekend and seeing addz... the V6 is just something else, if i had one i'd actually put a whole weekend aside to wash it.

LOL oh how things change daniel

This thread is 3 years old

but re the OP - COSSIEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

whens the 200 coming?

so? doesnt change the fact even so the cars now 'old' along with the thread, a well maintained one stopped a whole campsite on saturday night!

V6, classic, underrated and diminishing numbers mean increasing residuals.

everytime you see one posted on here parked backwards into a tree, you know yours just went up in value

  Italian 3.2 V6
Cossie is abit before my time tbh, I'd rather have a Ph2 V6 in an ultra rare colour!

PSJ.

Cossies are amazing cars but you will pay massive coin for a mint un modded example as they have already hit icon status and have been there for some time.

V6's are very good looking cars imo but have reached icon status yet iam not sure they will even hold much value in the future i cant see a ph2 v6 being over 20k anytime in the next 30 years

So its all down to what you like more. i think cossies will go up in value more yet i dnt think vee's will outside of the renault world vee's are not that respected yet everyone on here loves and knows about cossies.

  Clio v6
The Clio V6 a rare car. Numbers sold in UK = 670

So far in the UK, 13 of those "dreadful twitchy" Phase 1 Vees have been scrapped or exported.
30 of those properly sorted out Phase 2 Vees have been scrapped or exported. I only know of a few exported, but I've seen many in the breakers yards. (mostly the very fast blue ones) :)

567 left and counting. ;)

The Escort Cosworth was a rare car, with 7,145 vehicles produced from the start of production on 19 February 1992 until the last car rolled out of the factory on 12 January 1996. A tiny number were unofficially imported to the US.

I wonder how many real cossie's are left?

Daniel you're a funny chap! Nearly 200 time!

Oh and tell me how many chavs can afford a £15k+ car? They desire it, they love them, doesn't make them bad.

Similar fate to the new FRS no matter what you say a £25k+ car is not a chav's car.

  Clio V6 Phase 2
You've only got to look at the prices of Clio V6's on pistonheads today......... Compared with 1 year ago. No drop in prices at all, if anything they've gone up abit.

I've owned a Cosworth (For 14yrs) and you won't get me saying anything bad about them at all. They're Iconic, they are already considered a classic and have achieved classic status (The un chav'd ones). Fantastic cars.

But I can honestly see the V6 being in the same position when it's as old as the Cosworth, It WILL be another future classic, and the ones that are mint and original will be going for £20k.

Cossie was my dream car also but evo dampened that... they did a test old versus new, cant remember what the escort cossie was up against but it recorded 17.5s 0-100......... clio 172 pace and not even quick round the track! but hey ho its not about the pace of them i suppose these days, the v6 definately has more noise and drama when you push them along!

Old old thread, but I'm sure Daniels had a couple of Vees in stock since starting colshe?

Tough call between the two, completely different cars. I'd go with the Vee though, purely because it's just that little bit more "mad" than the cossie.
