do you have to remove the slam panel to get to the fuel rail bolts Guy?

Chris

no mate, its a FIDDLY FUCKER though!!

what i did, small extension, 10mm(i think) socket , put that in(its awkward, have to put it in at an angle) then once its in and on the nut, put the ratchet handle on.
loosen nuts off, remove ratchet handle, then very careufully remove the extension and socket keeping it pointing down, so the nut stays in the end of the socket and you dont drop it.

one of my nuts fell out the socket but into the recess its in normally, than i just pulled the FRP off and the nut stayed inside it.

oh. i did it in the dark aswell with a torch in my mouth

dropped my torx socket bit down the engine bay. luckily it landed between some pipes
then dropped something else down there and luckily managed to get that back

stupid undertrays.

funny enough guys i will be lookin then feb march time, want to get one off here (cs) as i know how well most peeps look after theres

its a hell of a lot easier to polish up than the inlet as its already flat!

Nice work CC. I know I'll end up cheating and taking it all to a metal polisher. Doing my calipers put me off anything like this again!

you polished your calipers??

you nutter.. lol

actually..
i gots an idea now! damn you. lol

im like a magpie.

i give meself a new avatar today too

Chris.... 1200 grit isnt fine enough mate.

i used 1500 grit and that was only just good enough for the final stage.

after the 1500 grit, its all about rubbing bloody hard with the autosol. Needs lots of pressure. :)
