My Renault Clio is giving me a real tough time!

My Renault Clio won't start. It does start when I push start it but and then it will start again for the rest of the day but if I have not driven with it for 2 or more hours it needs to be push started again. I just replaced the starter.

Battery most likely or possibly alternator ?

I recently tested the battery, it was fine but I have not considered the alternator.

Thanks for the advice, so what kind of damage will I be looking at, the average price over the internet is $500 but that sounds a bit steep...
