My Stolen Car.. Continued..

As some of you may, or may not be aware, my car was stolen and recovered.

I hadn't noticed this, until now.

Before:

I then used some Halfords "Colour restore" stuff on it. (Cheap, and you get what you pay for etc) and have managed to get it like this;

Not too sure what it's been dragged across, anything anyone can recommend? Or is it, in ol' English, fucked?

Although it's a "red" colour, it doesn't look like bricks have done this, maybe from a driveway, looks more like a metal post, or something? The scratches aren't deep either, it's just surface.

Thanks a lot.

It's back passenger side. Ive only really had access to it in the dark, well, only been around it in the dark.

By chance, I was checking tyre treads, and bam. Straight in my face.

You want some G3 or some other abrasive compound. If you're feeling brave enough, a bit of wet and dry then G3 etc.

90% of that will come out with the right stuff.

The red colour transfer will come off with something simple like autoglym super resin polish. The dull scraped area will need a proper compounding polish, probably used with a machine polisher to get rid of the worst of it. But if you can feel the scratches and they've gone through the clear coat you won't get rid of it all and will need of a 're paint

Shouldn't need the wet and dry, just compound should get that out. But you will need to polish it up after as it's often left looking dull.

Cheers Rob and Dave.

As far as I can tell, it hasn't gone through the clear coat, can't feel scratches etc, so I think its just been lightly scraped across whatever it was!
