my temp gage..

ok so i woke up this morning, freezing cold... wrapped up nice and warm to get into my car and set off to work. i was that cold i checked to temperature to see it reading 56'.....
im pretty sure its broken, either that or ive somehow moved to kenya without realising.
can anyone help me?
what is actually broke, and how do i fix it

The temp sensors broke and needs replacing, it's the little black bit under the passenger wing mirror.

ahhh i was wondering what they were for
easy to replace? and where do you get them from??
