As above you need valve cut outs or custom cam timing to stop valves hitting the pistons, i found this out the hard way.

yes mate South Wales pistons are doing it for me £50 so not bad

good luck with the build, ive just dropped my bg 182 off with scoff today to do my turbo conversion, still on the train home now i thought about megane internals when i was thinking of around the same bhp as you but a few people said the standard gearbox nd clutch would struggle, i ended up just getting the ED low comp head gasket and goin for 230-240 bhp for reliability. look forward to you finishing this.

Scoff will be doing the ecu part of it and the mapping I'm using a 4 paddle clutch and Im gunna see how long the gearbox will last I'm gunna have a spare one waiting to go in when mine fails lol

I havent got one lol was just a suggestion I thought it was fairly simple to do, modify the mounts slightly and tap the holes for the ND0 box..or something along those lines

Took the gearbox, alternator, ac pump, steering pump, starter motor etc to a bare block had a little play to put the manifold and turbo on just to see how it will look

Another question regarding my phase1 fuel sender
received mine this morning but only had chance to look at it today I took it apart to see what's what took the pump out obviously I'm replacing that, what's this on the return line? Pictured below?

UPDATE
started stripping the engine today, rocker cover was a ba**ard to get off but got there in the end lol took the head off block will be going on the engine stand tomorrow and stripping the bottom end taking pistons out and going to get the block drilled out and tapped for my oil return and get my slots machined out of my megane pistons ready to rebuild over next couple of weeks

Few more goodies come through the door today new water pump my intercooler and camber bolts booked it in to efi parts for the 5th of August for the ecu installation and setup, my pistons and rods are down cardiff @ south wales pistons getting the valve pockets machined out of my megane pistons.. also bought a ph1 fuel sender without realising that they had 2 different types I bought the late ph1 fuel sender the one without a return line to the tank. which is the wrong bloody one so that's now for sale lol
also bought some forge coolant hose set and some 15" oz f1 which I haven't yet picked up

You will need a -10AN (ID 10.5mm) or above.

Im getting a Clio as a track car, have been thinking about dropping in a 225 engine, looks a little easier than this?

Could you not use the Clio 197 box on the 182 block?
