My V6 - Finally cleaned!

Remember seeing a picture of this with the rear of the Veee full of crap, felt bad :S

Exactly Ali :)

lol@ some of the comments. Never new so many people would take cleaning cars so seriously. I'm based in chelmsford if anyone wishes to clean my car for me.

looks awsome.

how sensitive are the alarms, theres one in my town and everytime i go passed it in the mini (will twice) the alarm goes off, love it.

saw a yellow one other day good lord thats a nice looking colour on a vee, it was a sunny day to.

EVO.....

HA.....

Enjoy the scarey service intervals and service costs and then you'll wish you'd never got rid of the Vee.....

Every 6000 miles and near a grand to service....

i love peoples knowledge when it comes to EVO's :)

p.s FQ400 - how many clutches will you go through :)

pmsl at the EVO comments.

Vee looks sweet, as said, but have to agree with the 'lack' of power for such a prestigious car. (imo) lol

Servicing on an Evo FQ in my area - around £100 for a minor, £200 for a major, not including cambelt change. They do go through a clutch or two though, the standard one is awful. However, if you arent trigger happy at the traffic lights and into green racing, then it should be fine.

:)

good lad!!

evo...for people who want to go fast..but cant actually drive!

plus...serious image problem these days..once pretty cool..now..mid life crisis fantastic!

M3's are amazing...:)

Dear...............oh..................dear!

Mid-life crisis fantastic?!

Maybe when I get my hands on one, a trip up to Carlisle'ish is required to put you in your place, young man..... :rasp:

D.

I better start buying some extra clutches lol

I did say :)

They only go through clutches if you constantly dump the b******s and in a 400 you will :)

jeez it looks awesome when one dumps its clutch on like 7k ! SWISHHH ZOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM

Stay with the V6 mate!!
Evo's are poor mans fast cars!! No class. I hate Evo with a passion.
My mates works for them and he has a different one every week... 360 hks something.... Fast yeah!!! just sooooooooooo un-classy.
Your V6 is an amazing motor, Sexy in everyway!!
I bet you will get more looks in your V6 than an Evo.
Evo's these days are 2 a penny!!!

That’s what everyone keeps telling me lol

Damn you!

Cars gone in to Renault last week to fit a new clutch, flywheel & diff, so I'm debating whether to sell it now whilst it’s at its prime, or keep it a bit longer.

f**k sake why does the v6 have to look so good!

Lol! Driven properly, the v6 is a very fast tool cross country, just not as fast as an evo for dual carriageway blasting (surely this gets a bit boring after a while anyway) And agree that the vee will turn more heads than an evo. Also, wont the evo be a bit dull compared to the handling of the vee? Fast isnt always fun.

Not a dig at you ad, but how about going for some proper driver training?

Be surprised how much faster it makes you.

Could also take the vee on a few trackdays.

Did you even read the link to their website where I cited this from?

Believe it or not there are much quicker cars than a 1.2 clios....

how bout modding the v6 isnt yozzasport putting throttlebodies on theres and that mike t turboing his?

Mike T's is already blown, aye. There were some pics on here the other day...mental!

As for Fred's...he has the bodies on iirc, just needs finishing. Going by his normal timescales for projects, it should be driveable by 2009

Picking my vee up from Renault tomorrow, been almost a week without my baby!

Trying to think what modifications will be worth while on the vee? Full system, remap, coils seem the obvious choice.

Waste of money tbh.The V6 should of been much faster as standard without spending shitloads on it
You should of stayed with the TVR.Forget the reliability issues and just ride the power and speed for a cheap outlay.

That comment would of been very useful at the beginning of this thread ;)

Shame it's s**t slow, but it looks so good. Tvr 350 is still on the plate, just got to wait for the right one. I know theres a bargain sitting out there some where....

Subway
you have a choice-

get a golf W12 or
take it to scotty with around 10 k & buy a decent exhaust, lower it & get the motec m800-

Lol, Evos chavvy? What are we comparing this comment against, Clio RS's? So a 2.0 hot hatch with different shades of turinis, loud exhausts, lowered on H&R coilovers with various i.k's is more classy than an Evo? Riiiight.

I had an EVO 8 for the best part of 2 months, hated it, Turbo lag sure does suck....Clio v6's are rare, but they are never going to beat a hot Evo across country...sure..but having owned both, I wouldn't have an EVO 8 given me....you obviously want to be like the other thousands of Evo owners...and thats just it....thousands, nothing unique, people don't enjoy seeing them....bland, bland, bland.

Personal opinion though, to me they dont look bland at all, and i cant understand the justification for saying the looks are bland!

Havent had the opportunity to own one unfortunatley, nor have i owned a turbo car so cant comment on turbo lag. I am basing my opinion on the passanger ride i recived in a race prepped Evo 6 TME around a track which blew my mind.
