My wheel fell off....... (not happy)

So, i work part time as a chef in a local pub. Ive had a long day and a hard evening shift! After having a well deserved cider :approve: i walk out to the clio jump in and stick her in reverse, no dramas slowly drive out of the car park go up the road and theres this horribled noise coming from the n/s front. Sounds like the drive shaft obviously im livid and pull over to have a gander, just as i do the bloody wheel comes off! if i was livid before im raging now lol! the wheel is pinned by the hub and gone through my plastic wing, so i jack it up and find that the caliper is cracked disc is a little poorly and one of the hub threads is now cross threaded!

I check my car regulary and the nuts are all tourqed on correctly only thing i can assume is somone has tried to nick my pink wheels lol

Had the alloy looked at today and re balanced car drives fine just need to sort the caliper, disc, and hub and as for the wing i work in a body shop so get a new one and spray it up! Im starting a project thread soon so will post the pics up.

(and no i didnt have locking wheel nuts... I mean who wants to steal pink wheels)

Yeah i know i was just about to go on to the A30 that would of been a write off! its just gutting and im working hard to tidy the car up and its another set back!

Just out of interest, what is the torque for a wheel nut? 100 NM???

It's 90NM I think, but I always go for 100NM

Cars always have set backs just have to grit your teeth and carry on :S I have had multiple set backs all expensive set back too

Yeah i know weve all got problems mate does drive you mad though! I mean this month on top of whats happened here. Ive got tax, mot, and a new windscreen to get lol a bloody meteor hit my screen on the m3 gutted...
