My XBOX 360 has finally died!

well i have been having problems since the big update a month or so ago with it freezing once each session. I was told this would get worse and eventually die and tonight it happened.

Whenever i try and play a game i can't get past the login screen before it crashes on me.

Just on the phone to MS now, its 5 days out of warranty but i went ahead and sent the warranty extension card off last week a few days before the end in the hope that they would still honour it even though it says you have 10 days to respond and they have put the cost up now. I have just checked my credit card and it has the £45 for the warranty extension and now i am going to use it LoL.

SO glad I did it now!

Very annoying that i have HD-DVD's to watch and now can't!

well its all done now, ms are sending me an email with the shipping details on, i need to call the courier to arrange collection and pack it in my own box, not the MS one and it will be back within about 15 working days, so christmas hopefully.

strangely the HD addon still works fine so i reckon it might be something to do with the dvd rom as it doesn't sound as loud as normal as i try and boot up so maybe the fan has died or something and its protecting itself?
