My Yozzasport exhaust & decat

  A4 Avant
Well I fitted it yesterday. I'm not a mechanic and it took me about 4 hours with a ramp to completely remove the original exhaust (what was left of it) and fit the new one. It was a pain removing the original cat and was by far the most time consuming part of the job. Trying to stop the spring loaded bolts from turning was a nightmare for me!

Good points:
*Sounds awesome when accelerating above 3500rpm.
*Great fit.
*Looks to be good quality, but time will tell.
*Quite quiet at 30/40mph.
*Change in performance. It now pulls much harder from lower down the rev range. In the dry accelerating in second it starts to break traction. From a standing start it spins in both 1st and 2nd (new tyres here I come!) Previously the car was nothing at all like this, it really has transformed it!

Bad Points:
*Theres no getting away from it, it is a noisy system when accelerating.
*The note changes to a very loud boom at 3000rpm but by 3500rpm it becomes a much nicer high pitched noise.
*For me it would be unuseable on long motorway journeys (luckily I don't have too)

All in all a very big thumbs up from me! Its made me love my lil Clio again, I even washed it for the first time since before christmas. If it was driven everyday for more than 30 miles commuting it would have to go though.

Cheers again to Yozzasport for such a fast delivery (I ordered and paid Friday lunchtime and it was with me for 4.30 same day!). I'm impressed with both your service and product!

No pain no gain , as they say. You could get used to the extra noise or just get earplugs. With the 182 manifold you could get an even bigger power hike.

that sounds absolutely sweet. I'm sure alot of the standard guys on here will hate it though and take the piss. I love it, how much was it?

I'm sure the connections are tight. I've checked twice since fitting as I don't normally mess with the mechanical side of things and wanted to make sure i'd done everything right!

TBH I love it, I can put up with the noise purely because of the difference it's made performance wise.

I paid £560 I think, same price as on the Yozzasport website. No discount.:dapprove:

Oh yeah and my emissions light hasn't come on!

Finally a proper vid of a yozzasport sytem, sounds amazing just need a decat vid

  850 T5. mmmm Turbo!
i wonder if theyd do a slightly modified stealth version.
it sounds ace, but looks wrong with no cut out on the bumper.
not that i agree with cutouts.

id like this if i could hide the actual pipe out the back, can they make it face down or would that make it slower or something?

  A4 Avant
As far as I'm aware from Yozzasport this is the only tailpipe version available.

I thought I'd need to cut it into the bumper, but it seemed to hang best where it is, so I didn't see the point in trying to force it further up.

Thanks for the good responses, must admit I'm chuffed with it!:D

you can get a non slash cut version but thats a race system, not sure if you can get the same tailpipe on teh road

Top review and great work Nigel!

System sounds amazing.

Thats on a par with the best I've heard on here, namely Thomss AAS de-cat system [superb vid on youtube] ....Craigs 182 Milltek system sounded pretty good IIRC, thats on Milltek's website.

I wonder how much of the extra oomph is due to exhaust and how much to the de-cat? Could the same result be achieved with just de-cat pipe, as the standard exhaust is thought to be efficient.

Must fit mine soon.

nice i fella does look very good , i'm getting old and dont like the loudness anymore but defo sounds meaty

Afternoon Folks,

Just to clear up a few points raised in this thread.

Nigel, I'm pleased you are happy with the system - i remember us having a long chat about the noise and I think that you were aware of the volume - it is like anything a compromise; to get the power it comes with noise. I can see from reading this that it isn't a problem ;-)

Despite the rumours that circulate, we do manufacture lots of other systems for the RenaultSport clios, including the 197 and the Clio V6. We are aware that some people are not interested in a noisy system despite the power gains that they do offer.

N.B. The prices below are for CAT-BACK systems.

Our centre sections are universal across all of our 172 Road systems - they have a small bullet silencer in the centre section to reduce the resonance, the pipe OD is 63.75mm and the systems are manufactured in . The variation in the prices between the systems are down to a) the volumes in which we manufacture them b) whether we make them from a jig or whether they are made up on a car in a bespoke manner and c) the materials used in the manufacture.

a) Clio 172 / Cup / Ragnotti Road System - £399
As per current specification on our website: http://www.yozzasport.co.uk/store/proddetail.php?prod=clio_rs_172_road_exhaust_system

b) Clio 172 / Cup / Ragnotti Road System (Quiet Version) - £439
Same centre section, same backbox but a reduced bore of within threar silencer to reduce noise output dramatically. Visually the rear box looks identical to the road larger bore system (a).

c) Clio 172 / Cup / Ragnotti Stealth Road System (Quiet Version) - £459
Same centre section as race/road system, stealth (hidden) backbox with reduced bore of tail pipe to reduce noise output dramatically. This system is designed to be a replacement road system.

d) b) Clio 172 / Cup / Ragnotti Race System - £499
Centre section without silencer, Re-packable back-box hung below the bumper. Intended for track / race use only.

In terms of tail pipes - these are the only ones that we offer, as they are the only ones that we have been asked by customers to produce. If someone would like a different style tail pipe it can certainly be made, it just would cost a little more (in the region of £25 as long as the backbox didn't have to be modified to accept the pipe). We are consumer driven so if people want something - we can provide, a bespoke system just costs a little more..

y0z2a when you say option c) is a road replacement version, how much noise are we talking here? And would a cut out (prospeed) style be an option?

a) & b) can have a cut out into the bumper should you wish - alternatively, you can hang the system below the bumper like Nigel.

on c) the system is only a little bit more fruity than the standard system - I.E. not loud at all in cat back form.

yozza is the quiet system new to your range? How much difference is there in sound to the normal road system, is it a lot quieter?
