Clio 2002
the weekend was not a constructive as id hoped. i only got 50% done of what i planned to. the good news is that i now have a nearly whole new interior the reason being i did not have the torx T50 to remove the upper half of the rear seats! i have ordered one and will get it done this week. its a simple job if you have the right kit!Anyway ill show you the positives! As i had lots to do and not heaps of time my dad stepped up to help which was a bonus as he is clued up and has a shed load of tools!
Day 1
I started with the door cards to give any last charge left in the battery to die before i started playing with the electrics under the seats
I was pleased at how simple the job was, it simply just popped off after undoing the screws and the new sports panel clipped straight on
In
Out
Was great to see this horrible criss cross interior ripped out!
Next we fitted the rear bottoms as i didnt have the torx T50 to remove the back rests from the body
The day was now in full swing with the car jacked up, all the old crap
The nuts towards the center were difficult to remove
Passenger ejected
The fronts finally in!
I am really please with the difference the interior has made. the only hitch that we hit was the wiring from my original seats did not simply plug in to the sports seats! airbags, seatbelt, etc.
if anyone has any info on this can they let me know!
iv got a few bits left over from the rip out. if anyone is interested pm me
Days 2
I couldnt leave the RS grill sitting in the box so i decided to fit it.
I parked the car up in the sun, ready for the grill replacement
Typically with in 5 minutes the sun was gone and a storm was in full flow!
New position for work
Its impossible to gently remove the standard grill so it was a case of just smashing it out!
Grill-less
The RS grill fitted in easily
I fitted a new led rear center bulb (i think makes a massive difference)
And this is the project so far
