Nackered dephaser valve

Hi people my dephaser valve is getting done this weekend just wondering will running shagged one affect the performance of the 172?

Has anyone noticed an improvement in speed since theirs was replaced?

Depends how far gone it is, if it's just knocking a bit then shouldn't affect the car too much. You having the belts done as well?

yea mate having both the aux and cam belts done

sounds like a bloody tractor atm
