Names of parts!

  Suzuki Ignis Sport
I'm getting so confused, why are there so many names for parts? Such as track rod end, tie rod, ball joint.. are they all the same thing? If someone could explain it'd be great! (Even better if someone can do me a diagram labelling each part of a Clio for example). Do some cars have different suspension parts as others? Do some cars have extra parts? It's all very confusing!

hi... everything you mentioned are all parts related to suspention & steering..... there are loads of specific names that make up parts on a car.... wishbone..... anti roll bar drop links...... bush.... balljoint, steering rack arm...... shock absorber.... to name a few :)

I want to get to know the proper names of all the parts. I know some garages call stuff different things.. track rod end is sometimes called tie rod etc. It's all confusing and I want to learn more! Cheers for reply mate.
