NATIONAL MEET@ WICKSTEED PARK
20/21/22 OF JUNE 2008
As you are aware this year we have decided to hold a national Cliosport meet. Well you will be happy to know that we have found an appropriate venue which is willing to accommodate us and make it possible for us to hold this event. This venue is now booked and the meet is offically now on
The venue im pleased to announce is Wicksteed Park (please click for info on wicksteed)
Wicksteed is a family park not far from Rockingham Motor Speedway. It is large enough to accommodate us all, and as you can see from the link offers a range of activities for everyone. It is proposed that we camp for the weekend therefore bring your own accommodation (Tent, wigwam your choice ;-). 3 nights accommodation is available but it is up to you which nights you stay. Full payment is to be made to the park when you arrive.
After discussion with Mark from the French Car Show we came to the conclusion that it would be best to hold this event on the same weekend as the show, therefore people can enjoy both events in one weekend and neither event losing out on attendees. So the plan being we all meet up at Wicksteed on Friday or if you can’t make Friday you come on the Saturday. Spend a couple of days getting to know each other taking photos, generally having a bit of fun and also making the uses of the great facilities at wicksteed. Then on the Sunday we all convoy to FCS to enjoy the show. Then the availability of another nights stay at wicksteed is there for those that want it because im aware that some will be travelling from further a field than others and this also gives the opportunity to those to enjoy FCS right to the very end without having to leave early to start the journey home.
Obviously with an event like this rules and guidelines have to be put in place and they are as follows:-
- The club does not hold any responsibility for any loss and/or damage to both vehicles and personal belongings
- Rules and regulations implemented by the park have to adhered to at all times ( A copy of these will be posted at later date)
- Any form of reckless or antisocial driving will not be tolerated
- Loud music is not permitted at anytime
- Foul language will not be tolerated
- Any form of violence or threatening behaviour will not be tolerated
Thank you for taking the time to read this and we look forward to seeing you all at the national meet and also the French Car Show
