Need A New Alternator - Where from?

  German Barge
Following my topic earlier...

Where is the best place to get an alternator from...?

Heard a lot of places charge a surcharge fee for one..

i.e. renault, GSF, EuroCarParts...

Basically im after good £££ for one.

Most places t averhauled ones, the surcharge is a deposit you pay which you get back when you return your old one, IIRC reno even do them on exchange wiht them being older casr now.

I would go for GSf personally

well, good news is i have a spare one that can be exchanged/have recon'd which is out of the car at the mo, so wont have to tackle getting the old one out until it comes to fitting the new one...

im assuming if i take it to renault (my old one) they will order me one in, and ill simply hand mine over to them? just hope they don't take as long getting it in as they have done with my front wing GRRR!!!

i'm 95% certain matbrown woudl ahve a valver alternator in as he had a few n for breaking

He has my old one.. as I said on MSN, it was flicking the battery light but did it for a few months - think it was a loose wire.

Depends if you wanna risk it or not!

He will have others tho which didn't appear to be dead before removal.
