Need help

  Clio 172
Hey,

Im abit of a novice when it comes to car cleaning and using relevant products.

Can someone please recommend what I use to get a nice shiney finish on Iceburg silver and what stages to do.

Dont want anything to complicated, just something for a begginer!

Cheers

Hi buddy.

First things first, budget? Where do you want to shop - Halfords or are you willing to buy online?

What's your current wash routine?

As protection, how about Zaino Z5, followed by Z8, relativly in expensive, easy to use and very durable, and looks great.

might be worth claying the car, use a spray bottle with a light mix of water and shampoo for lube, and a cheap clay bar.

That might be good to get you going, im sure people will have other ideas, Ive got a few people into detailing just using the above products and they seem very content with the results.

It would be worth getting some MF towels, i always get a 36 pack of yellow eurow towels from cotsco for about 15 quid, if not then look for some on the net.

Thanks that looks great.

My current wash routine would be:

Jet wash all off

Wash car with mit and shampoo

Clay if needed

Wax

Seal

Buff off

If your using Z8 then Wax then Seal with Z8, if not, as said, Its seal then wax. Id use an oily cleaner like Lime prime, Zymol HD Cleanse or Swissvax Cleaner Fluid, then apply the wax.

Lot of people who get into detailing seem to want both a sealant and wax. I go one or the other. I clay once a year, maybe twice if it gets bad which it never really does.
