Need NEW Tyres ???

Hello.

I need 2 new tyres on the front. Currently got 185/55/15 82v.

What tyres would you all recommend? I am looking for something that handles well wet/dry weather, and long lasting.

.. could i change them to 195/50? i dont want chunky looking tyres lol

Avoid Toyo if you want long lasting. Good tyres, but don't wear very well.

its advised that you keep the same make and profile of tyre as you other ones. michelin is your best option if you want good performance in wet and dry

195/50/15 will be better for grip and be cheaper (THE most common size made)

I'd do all 4 though, some bargains about for a whole set if you shop about

my t1-r's have lasted 11months so far but need replacing pretty soon. not bad life imo.

I currently have Continental GTs .. (i think) and they have lasted me 27k miles.

In a word? Don't.

Get Contis if you drive normally, Michellins if you drive fast.

195/50 will look less out of proportion than 185/55 and they're cheaper.

I had avon zv1's & zv3's years ago. I didn't like them. That was on a valver (15's too)

I can get a set of four avon zv3 tyres: 195/50/15s for £196.. including balancing, valves etc

I fit avon tyres and can highly recommend them. All our courtesy cars run on them inclluding the V6 c280 and V8 C43. You wouldnt drive fast enough to notice any difference tbh.
