Need to extract WEP/WPA code before re-install.

The lovely IT guys have added me onto the wifi at school... however they're off until next week.

I need to reinstall due to software issues, but I don't want to lost wifi access.

Can anyone tell me a way of extracting the key from my laptop?

(both XP and OSX partitions have been configured to it)

dont think you can! as like most passwords it is hidden by stars or circles! and you cant copy and paste something in a password field...

If it's a software issue, why would you lose both your OS X and Windows partitions?

On windows if you're configured to use zero configuration then this tool should do the trick:

Good job! glad you got it sorted! Ive also learnt something new out of it!! now I can get my uncles network password as he always made sure he put it in my laptop so I wouldnt see what it was! hehe! evil laugh! lol...
